Sizing your battery bank

Sizing your battery bank

Add up daily consumption in watt-hours, multiply by the days of autonomy you want, then divide by 0.9 for LiFePO4 usable depth of discharge. Example: a 1200Wh daily load with one backup day needs about 1.4kWh - a single 12V 100Ah Mini (1.28kWh) almost covers it, a 24V 100Ah (2.56kWh) covers it twice over. Batteries last longer when cycled shallow, so size up when in doubt.
